ETHEREUM MAINNET ยท GUIDES & INFORMATION
Managing ERC-20 tokens
ERC-20 is a common interface for fungible tokens on Ethereum. A token has its own smart-contract address and balance accounting. Tokens such as USDT, USDC and DAI use this general standard on Ethereum Mainnet, although their individual contracts and rules differ.
Recognize the correct token
Token names and symbols are not unique. Always verify the contract address before relying on a balance or sending funds. Spam tokens can appear at an address without the owner requesting them. An attractive name or logo is not proof that a token is trustworthy.
Send a token
Select the token in the Tokens table, or choose it in the Asset field. Enter the recipient, amount and fee preference. ERC-20 transfers require ETH for network gas, even when the token balance is large.
Where balances and logos come from
Token balances and activity are discovered through blockchain data providers. The wallet uses local image files, matched by token contract address, and a placeholder when no matching image is present. Images are not loaded from a third-party CDN at page runtime.
Why a token may not appear
An indexer may lag, temporarily fail or not discover every token. In addition, some token contracts impose transfer limitations. Always verify important balances and transactions using a reputable independent explorer.
