ETHEREUM MAINNET ยท GUIDES & INFORMATION
Using an Ethereum Mainnet wallet
Ethereum is a public blockchain. An Ethereum wallet lets you control an account, receive ETH and authorize transactions by signing them with a private key. The wallet itself does not hold coins on a server: balances are recorded on the blockchain.
Create or connect a wallet
Choose Create wallet to generate a new account. Save the displayed private key and recovery phrase offline. If you already have an account, choose Connect wallet to import it locally using a private key, compatible keystore or recovery phrase. Never type these secrets into a website you have not verified.
Receive ETH
Copy your Ethereum address or use its QR code. Check that the sender uses Ethereum Mainnet (chain ID 1), not a different network that happens to use a similar-looking address.
Send ETH
Choose ETH in the Send section, enter the recipient and amount, then review the network fee and details before signing. Gas fees change with network conditions. A transaction is final only after it has been included and confirmed on the blockchain.
Track your activity
The transaction table separates native Ethereum transactions and ERC-20 transfers. Indexer records may appear later than a confirmed block; the wallet also checks blockchain updates through its network connections.
