ETH Wallet

ETHEREUM MAINNET · GUIDES & INFORMATION

Privacy and blockchain data

ETH Wallet is a browser application. It is designed to generate, import and use private keys locally rather than transmit raw secret keys or recovery phrases to RPC providers or the site server.

Data kept in your browser

To offer persistent sessions, the wallet stores encrypted account material and a corresponding non-exportable browser cryptographic key locally. Clearing browser data or closing the wallet may remove that session. An encrypted keystore file is created locally when you choose to download one.

Public network requests

Ethereum addresses, balances, token identifiers and transaction hashes are public blockchain information. Queries may be made to public RPC providers, blockchain indexers or the site’s PHP gateway. Those providers, the website server and hosting infrastructure may receive IP addresses, timestamps and request metadata.

Blockchain permanence

Transactions published on Ethereum are publicly visible and generally cannot be removed or altered. Avoid treating an address as private identity information.

Analytics and third-party assets

The supplied wallet package does not include advertising scripts or third-party hosted JavaScript libraries. Website administrators may add separate infrastructure, which should be disclosed in any published privacy policy.

Before publishing

Site operators should update this page to describe their actual hosting, log retention, business contact and applicable privacy-law obligations.
